Getting to Mürren

Mürren is a charming, car-free mountain village located in the heart of the Swiss Alps. Reaching us is part of the adventure — and the views along the way are truly unforgettable!

🛬 Arriving in Switzerland We recommend flying into:

Zurich Airport (ZRH) – approx. 3.5 hours to Mürren Geneva Airport (GVA) – approx. 4 hours to Mürren From the airport, take a train to Lauterbrunnen via Bern and Interlaken Ost.

🚆 By Train The Swiss train system is clean, reliable, and family-friendly. Once you arrive in Lauterbrunnen, you have two scenic options to reach Mürren:

Option 1: Grütschalp Route

Take the cable car from Lauterbrunnen to Grütschalp Transfer to the mountain train from Grütschalp to Mürren (12 minutes) This route offers stunning views over the Lauterbrunnen Valley.

Option 2: Stechelberg Route

From Lauterbrunnen, take the Postauto (local bus) to Stechelberg Schilthornbahn (approx. 15 minutes) Take the Schilthorn cable car directly to Mürren (via Gimmelwald) This is the best option if you're carrying heavy luggage or traveling with small children, as it has fewer transfers.

From the Mürren station (either route), it’s a 5-minute walk to Chalet Petschenhaus, located in the peaceful village center.

🚗 By Car Mürren is car-free, but you can drive to Stechelberg, where you’ll find:
